Just as important as the production of ice is its proper storage. The ice storage systems developed by KTI can not only store ice, but also keep it fit for transport. The ice storage systems can store up to 120 tons of ice. Special sizes are even possible up to 250 tons.

KTI's ice storages have proven themselves for many years under the toughest conditions in daily use around the globe. Customers can choose from three different ice bearings and always find the ideal solution for any application. The three ice bearings are:

Semi automatic ice storage

Are used when smaller quantities of ice are to be stored or when the process does not need to be fully automated. Are installed in a 40-foot container and can be transported on a truck like a standard container - thus can be used worldwide.

Automatic ice storage

Serve as buffer storage to cover power peaks in ice demand. The ice can be stored for several days and still remain transportable via screw conveyors or blower systems.

Transportable ice storage

They perform two functions. First, they store and cool ice in the refrigerated container. Secondly, they can be used to transport ice from A to B. The ice is discharged manually. The ice is discharged manually.
