An essential component for ensuring the stability of the entire KTI refrigeration system is the foundation. For KTI systems, a concrete slab foundation or strip foundation is sufficient. On this sits the KTI steel foundation, on which in turn the entire refrigeration system - consisting of ice storage, ice plant, platforms and stairs - is placed.
The hot-dip galvanized steel foundation serves as a stable base on which the ice storage and the ice plant are placed. In part, loads of approx. 150-200 tons act here when a large ice storage facility is fully filled.
