Future-proof
We only use natural refrigerants such as air for the ULT chamber, and CO2 and propane for the sluice zone. This guarantees the use of our ULT solutions for decades, regardless of the phase-out of synthetic refrigerants.

Innovative technology with only one compressor compared to cascade systems that depend on the operation of multiple compressors. Our technology is phase change free, oil free and wear free due to air bearing.
Flexible

This is how the KTI air chiller works in our ultra-low temperature warehouse

Die Luftkältemaschine arbeitet in einem offenen Kreislauf. Sie saugt Luft, die Eiskristalle und Schmutz enthalten kann, aus dem Inneren des Kühlraums an, reinigt diese mit zwei redundanten Filtern, kühlt sie ab und bläst die Luft schließlich wieder in den Kühlraum ein. Ein Verteilersystem verteilt die expandierte, kalte Luft gleichmäßig im Kühlraum. So ergibt sich eine extrem homogene Temperaturverteilung im gesamten Raum. Durch die äußerst niedrige Temperatur an der Ansaugung wird die Taupunkttemperatur um bis zu 20 K gesenkt. Das bedeutet, dass die Produkte in einer besonders trockenen Umgebung gelagert werden.

Air as a natural refrigerant - pure sustainability Das mobile ULT-Lager verwendet eine innovative, effiziente und nachhaltige Luftkreislauf-Kältetechnologie. Die Kältemaschine basiert auf dem Joule-Bryton-Prozess mit Luft als einziges Kältemittel. Mit einem maximalen Überdruck von 1 bar ist dies ein äußerst sicherer und stabiler Prozess. Das Kernstück ist eine ölfreie Kompressor-Expander-Einheit, die zur Energierückgewinnung auf derselben Welle komprimiert und expandiert. Der wesentliche Vorteil: Luft als Kältemittel ist natural, always available and free of charge, non-toxic, Non combustible and harmless to humans and the environment!

Highest operational reliability through innovation

One of the most common causes of refrigeration system failure is compressor damage. The reasons include liquid refrigerant entering the compressor or insufficient lubrication due to lack of oil or poor oil quality. In addition, in cascade systems for low-temperature plants, several compressors have to operate simultaneously, which increases the probability of failure.

Advantage of the KTI technology: Our technology has no phase change, no oil and is wear-free with its air bearing. This guarantees the highest level of reliability.
